Payouts to Vietnam in VND
Vietnam is one of the few markets where we run two rails side by side: transfers to bank accounts through the national instant network, and payments against scanned VietQR codes.

How the payout works
Account transfers
Pass a bank code from our directory and the account number. The directory grows as banks are added, so do not hard-code it. Amounts are whole dong; a decimal is refused on creation.
QR payments
Send the code as the camera read it. We decode it — who gets paid, in which currency, whether an amount is written in — and quote the price. If the code carries an amount, the receiving bank refuses any other, so we refuse it first.

Questions and answers
-
Which rail should I use?
If you have bank details, use the account transfer. If your user is standing in front of a code, use QR. They are separate products and can be contracted separately.
-
Can I pay a personal QR code?
Yes. Vietnam accepts both merchant and personal codes, static and dynamic.
-
Why are amounts whole numbers?
The dong has no fractional part in circulation. Amounts are passed as whole units.
-
What if the bank is not in your directory?
Tell us and we will check whether it can be added. The directory reflects what the corridor accepts today.
-
How long does it take?
Under five minutes in the normal case, around the clock.
