Payouts to Mexico via SPEI

What you pass in the request
-
Payouts
CLABE, 18 digits.
-
Sender identity
Sender: name only. Recipient name: required.
How the payout works
The number has to agree with itself
The first three digits identify the bank, and the bank code you send must match them. The payment system delivers by CLABE alone, so we refuse a mismatch at creation. We verify the check digit too: a CLABE with a single wrong digit almost never gets through.
Whole pesos
A fractional amount is refused before anything is sent.

Questions and answers
-
Why must the bank code match the CLABE?
Delivery is by CLABE alone. A mismatch would route the money to a different bank, so we stop it at creation.
