What it changes for an inbound payout
Less than you might expect. A payout from abroad is addressed by bank and account number and needs no PromptPay registration. It lands in the same account, generally as fast as a domestic transfer.
The one field that returns payouts
The recipient’s name, behind the large majority of returned Thai payouts. Write it in Latin script as in the passport: not transliterated by ear, not shortened, not reordered, not surname-first. In end-user forms, show the format and an example, and warn before submission.
Codes are a separate matter
Paying a Thai QR code is a separate product, not always available alongside account payouts. Check the coverage catalogue.
