A service inside bank apps

Plin is not a wallet with its own balance. The money stays in the bank account; Plin gives it a phone number and a QR code that other banks’ customers can pay.

Paying a Plin code

A Plin code is a Peruvian QR code: the payload points at the bank account behind it. The request passes the payload as the camera read it, with no bank or account number to enter.

Questions and answers

  • Does the recipient need a separate Plin app?

No. Plin works inside the participating banks' apps.
