A bank’s wallet, not a bank app

Daviplata is separate from Davivienda’s banking app: it needs no branch visit and is tied to a phone number.

Paying a Daviplata code

A code shown in Daviplata is a Colombian QR code like any other. The payload identifies the account; the request passes it exactly as the camera read it, with no bank or account number to type.

Questions and answers

  • Does the recipient need a Davivienda bank account?

No. Daviplata is an account in its own right, opened from the app.
